Medication Vouchers
Medication Vouchers are for patients that may need help getting the prescrptions we write upon discharge.
This is a list of medications that can be approved by Social Work for the patient to go home on: Medication List.
- The resident fills out a Voucher Form (given to you by your trusty social worker!) and SW signs off on it so the patient can get the prescription filled at either Esquire or Walgreens.
- The approval is usually for 7 days (unless it is for an Abx, which is covered for the duration of treatment.)
- Meds that are OTC, usually will not be approved.
- However - each request is on a case by case basis but the house staff should refer to this list when sending out a patient who does not have insurance and needs Rx approval.
